Imagine a picnic table filled with platters of healthy, nutritious fruit and vegetables with side dishes, casseroles, appetizers and desserts all made from produce grown in Georgia.  This picnic table would be an endless smorgasbord of delicious Georgia Grown delicacies that are tasty, wholesome, and meets both adult and children’s daily vitamin and nutritional needs.  It is the members of the Georgia Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association that provide this wide arrange of nutritious produce to Georgians and others.

Fruit and vegetable production is almost a billion dollar industry at the farm gate in Georgia with over 170,000 acres in production.  Georgia produces a wide variety of fruit and vegetables. It is the mission of the Georgia Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association to provide a united voice to represent this diverse and massive industry.

As the state’s number two agricultural cash crop, most Georgia fruits and vegetables are grown for the fresh market to be sold and consumed in other states.  The GFVGA provides programs and services to the membership designed to increase production efficiencies, provide educational opportunities, promote new markets, monitor legislation, encourage applied research and improve communications among GFVGA members and industry suppliers.
